It seems like forever since I last blogged here at Blossom and Bright. When I first launched mid last year, I had so many grand plans. Unfortunately my home and work life got incredibly busy heading towards Christmas and into the new year, and something had to give…but I’m back and raring to go!
I’ve had a lot of readers ask me if I’m watching The Block Triple Threat, and commenting that you were missing my round ups. Thank you sweeties for contacting me. To be honest, I have been experiencing a little Block-fatigue. I wasn’t sure if I could watch this season at all, and I missed the eliminations rounds altogether. I’m now back watching the show a few times a week and loving the spaces the teams are creating. I’m particularly loving Dea and Darren’s apartment. Dea’s style is right up my alley. You can see the difference between Dea and Darren’s style, and the new Block couples. Their spaces don’t seem as polished, but you can see that they’re all working their butts off! I’ll be doing a post-Block round up after the auctions.
Kip & Co bedding giveaway winner – It occurred to me that I had drawn the winner of the giveaway and neglected to post it on my blog. Congratulations goes to Jodie who commented “Twirled – I look at it and feel like I am on a holiday, it is relaxing which I would like to feel when going to bed. The two sides are like the sunset or sunrise and the other the water.” I have been in contact with Jodie, and she loves the new bedding for her son’s room! Thank you to everyone who took the time to enter. Hopefully I’ll be hosting some more giveaways in the future.
So what’s next…
Renovations are about to commence in the Warren house. Initially we were just going to be demolishing our kitchen and knocking through a wall to create a more open space. Now the scope of works has expanded to include relocating a wall in our living room to make the kitchen more seamless, a mini renovation of our laundry using our old kitchen cabinets, and possibly ripping out the wardrobe in my daughter’s room and reconfiguring it. I’m really hoping that will be the extent of it, however I’m told renovating is like painting the Harbour Bridge…once you get to the end, you have to start all over again.
Here’s a little sneak peek of what I’m planning for our new sitting room…
